Joshua is known as apiw asici kîwêtin ᐊᐱᐤ ᐊᓯᒋ ᑭᐁᐧᑎᐣ in Plains Cree. he hails from a blend of Plains Cree, Anishinaabe, and Tsuut’ina. Raised in Calgary, Alberta, his educational journey began at the Plains Indians Cultural Survival School before pursuing undergraduate studies at Mount Royal University.

Her dedication to uplifting Indigenous women and empowering youth is commendable, reflecting her passion for effective policy development and the advancement of Indigenous people in the Arts and Talent sector. Autumn has been a friend and colleague of Joshua since Junior high school, often working together on many projects like sitting on the UMAYC Board for five years together provide large grants to various Indigenous youth programs in Calgary and the Treaty 7 area.

His extensive experience in Oil and Gas administration, coupled with his advocacy for Indigenous representation, showcases his commitment to empowering Indigenous voices. Jesús actively engages in political initiatives supporting Indigenous causes, demonstrating his dedication to the Indigenous Peoples Commission and related bodies. He has a BA in History and has taken the Indigenous Canada certificate through the University of Alberta, and he continues to educate himself on Indigenous history and current issues facing First Nations, Métis and Inuit people. He has worked closely with Joshua at IndigPoli, providing advice on various political initiatives.
